Lautaro

The story of the first Chilean indigenous insurrection against the Spanish conquerors.
Summary

This is an epic graphic novel that tells the story of a young Mapuche toqui (chief), Lautaro, during the Battle of Tucapel. Through his memories we will learn about this character's childhood and uprising against his captor and mentor, the Spanish conqueror Pedro de Valdivia.
This feat is the first national epic venture narrated in several documents written by chroniclers from Chile's conquest times, such as the famous poem La Araucana by the Spanish poet and soldier, Alonso de Ercilla. Up to this day, Lautaro’s militar tactics are still studied, and he is widely recognized for being a national heroe.
