"Once upon a time, there was a very curious and intelligent little girl named Ayelén. She loved animals but had never seen one because she was too scared to leave the house..."
An entertaining book in which—besides accompanying Ayelén in her journey— children will be able to learn basic words in Mapudungún (Chile’s indigenous people language), together its translation, and find out about the native species of southern Chile.
Ayelén and the Magic Fruits is a title built with a sensibility that is transferred when leafing through its pages and contemplating carefully the visual work: illustrations that were made in watercolor, graphite pencil and digital montage, forming a suggestive visual whole.
Winner of the National Contest for Early Childhood's Musical Creation and Illustrated Books, Chile Crece Contigo (CHCC) 2016.
