Braids

Short story written in poetic prose by María Luisa Bombal, one of the XXth century’s most renowned Chilean authors, with very well-known titles like La amortajada and La última niebla. 

Beautifully illustrated by Luisa Rivera, young Chilean artist who managed to capture all the primal, earthly and natural forces puts into motion in the text.  Very distinctive in Bombal's work, this story is a careful exploration of the feminine and its relationship to the masculine world.
