Are We Alone in the Universe?

The universe is a place of infinite possibilities: with around a hundred billion galaxies, you can imagine how many undiscovered secrets are hidden in it.
This is why sixty years ago astronomer Frank Drake began to investigate how many civilizations in our galaxy could communicate with us. To come close to the answer, first we need to explore other questions, such as how many stars are born each year in the Milky Way forming habitable planets,  or how many of these planets develop intelligent life and ways to communicate.
